Comment Policy

I understand that you’ve got plenty to say. On this blog, I encourage dialogue about the topics written by the writers. I welcome your thoughts and opinions on any and all of those topics.

A few notes:

• The first time you leave a comment, editors will have to approve it for posting. I do that to ensure that you’re not a machine. During the week, first time moderation will typically occur within 24 hours (I don’t work weekends).
  
• Personal attacks and foul language = not tolerated (your comment will not be approved).  Adding to the discussion = encouraged.
• Stay on-topic. Off-topic comments will be removed from the thread.
• Comments revealing personal information (e.g. place of residence, personal history) about bloggers or other commenters will be removed
• Comments should contribute to the dialogue. Please support any claims with links to sources whenever possible. I love opinions. I love it even more when you back them up

Arbitration

Disputes arising from the contents of ..Because I Played Sports wil be resolved by aribration to be conducted by and under the rules of the American Arbirtration Association. All arbirtration proceedding shall occur in the state of New Jersey.

Term and Termination

This Agreement is effective until terminated by BCIPS for any reason, with or without notice. Upon any termination of this Agreement, you agree to discontinue your use and access of the site and immediately destroy all materials obtained from it.

Children’s Privacy Protection

We take care to protect the privacy needs of children under the age of 13 and encourage parents to be an active participant in their child’s online activities. We abide by the requirements of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other relevant laws. We will not knowingly collect Personally Identifiable Information from kids 12 and younger.
