He went out to smoke a cigarette at halftime during tierra's game, and he nodded at tierra so she knew that was the last time she would see him. He waved at someone to come join him on his smoke break, as he approached his blue van two men with hoodies gunned him down within 2 minutes. He was shot six times in the head and arm. I question why didn't the person that was with him didn't get hurt? My thought is they would have shot him because he just seen who shot Terray. My opinion is that the man had something to do with the murder, or guy who knew his every move could have set him up. Tierra didn't know what was going on but she seen her mom dalonna crying so she knew something was wrong. Tierra tried to run to the ambulance to see her dad one more time, but someone pulled her back and took her upstairs and that was the last time she seen her 39 year old dad. She promised her dad she would not stop playing basketball. She knew it would be hard to play without her dad sitting in the audience watching and cheering her on. The case still remains as unsolved. Tierra lost her granddad a few years earlier. He was injected with heroin mix with garlic powder,bleach and lye. He was beaten in the head with a hammer and strangled to death with a electrical cord. Tierra plains on finishing school and then her and dalonna will move to Texas to start fresh on a new life.
